WESF plays a role in promoting standardization and eliminating global trade barriers.
The WFEO National Member Organization UAE Society of Engineers, in collaboration with the Gulf Engineering Union, organized the 25th Gulf Engineering Forum on 7 and 8 February 2024, under the theme “Smart Engineering for a Sustainable Future”, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The theme underscored the importance of harnessing the best solutions and innovative technologies for modern design and implementation of projects, with a strong emphasis on environmentally friendly engineering to ensure sustainability.
The Forum’s target axes included:
Smart infrastructure and building systems.
Autonomous systems and robots.
Bioengineering and Biomedical Technologies.
Cybersecurity in engineering systems.
the forum welcomed prestigious gathering of leading engineers, professionals, and innovators from across the Gulf region and beyond. It offers a unique platform for the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and experiences that can help shape the future of engineering.
WFEO President Mustafa Shehu delivered a keynote address on “Engineering for a Sustainable Future” and President-Elect Seng Chuan Tan made a presentation on “Sustainable Infrastructure” on 7th February 2024.
Among the distinguished guests, Dr Nahla Al Qassimi, WFEO National Member Representative at the Executive Council, was also present at the Forum.
Engaging discussions and collaborative efforts towards advancing engineering excellence were at the forefront of the meeting.
