To support stakeholders seeking to learn more about accreditation, assessment, auditing, and related topics, ANAB is offering a number training courses this November.

Accreditation Related Standards Training
Certificate Issuers: Requirements and Concepts of ANSI/ASTM E2659
Led by ANAB lead assessor Eric T. Vincent, MS, ICE-CCP, this course will provide an overview of ANSI/ASTM E2659-18 and ASTM D8403. Through presentations, small group discussions, and exercises, participants will understand the significance and use of this standard to the education and training community. This virtual course will be held on November 12-13.
Laboratories: Requirements and Concepts of ISO/IEC 17025
Gain an understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 in this live online training course on November 5-6, presented by ANAB lead assessor Michael Weisrock. Attendees will learn more about this standard’s structure, scope, and applicability in laboratories.
Assessment/Auditing Training
Internal Auditing to ISO/IEC 17025 (Non-Forensic)
This training course on November 5-7 will provide internal auditors a better understanding of the technical issues related to an audit. Michael Weisrock will teach participants how to coordinate a quality management system audit to ISO/IEC 17025.
Forensic Technical Assessor
Aspiring ANAB technical assessors can join this live virtual training course on November 19-22, where Emma K. Dutton, an ANAB forensic independent consultant, will review the ANAB assessment process and a technical assessor’s role and responsibilities.
Technical Training
Validation and Verification of Analytical Methods
In this training course on November 19, ANAB lead assessor Deedra Hughes will provide an introduction to validation and verification of analytical methods. Participants will get learn about the pertinent requirements in ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IEC 17020 for method validation and verification.
Risk-Based Thinking for Forensic Service Providers
On November 21, in this live virtual training course, ANAB instructional designer Deanne Emory will review the specific requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 and ANAB that incorporate the word risk, and those that foster a risk-based thinking approach.
